Meat Competition

The inaugural meat competition will be sponsored by Meat & Livestock Australia. Professional butchers and chefs come together to challenge their craftsmanship and creative usage of beef and lamb. The competition takes place on 24 and 25 April. Learn more and bring home cooking ideas.

In 2023, ASEAN contributed to around AUD2.5 billion of Australia’s red meat & livestock exports. Australian red meat is world-renowned & highly trusted globally, with Australian beef, sheep meat and goat meat exported to more than 100 countries worldwide. Consistently offering high-quality, safe, and sustainably produced red meat, Australia has some of the most stringent food safety standards and animal welfare practices – and the Australian red meat industry has set the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Most importantly, in a time where meat producers around the world are facing supply issues, Australia sees a consistent and abundant supply of beef and lamb. This will be an event with opportunities to initiate conversations with key leaders, on the above topics.
