Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone & Jamie Foxx Coming To Singapore For Earth Hour

 

In celebration of Earth Hour on 29 March 2014, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone & Jamie Foxx will be at The Float@ Marina Bay at 8.30pm to switch off the lights across Singapore’s signature Marina Bay skyline. The director, Marc Webb, along with other producers, and cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will also be in town to join in this global flagship event by WWF Singapore and Earth Hour Global.

The stars will also be throwing their support behind Earth Hour’s newly launched crowdfunding and crowdsourcing platform – Earth Hour Blue, with a message to individuals across the world to become Super Heroes for the planet.

While Andrew and Emma will be busy with the Earth Hour Blue, director Marc Webb is backing the ‘Power up a Ranger’ project in Indonesia, which aims to provide better equipment for WWF Rangers protecting Indonesia’s endangered wildlife such as the Sumatran Tiger, Elephant, Rhino and Orangutan and their forest habitat.

The director is also a judge in WWF Singapore’s film competition “Use Your Power”, which will engage young filmmakers across Singapore to produce engaging, innovative, and creative short films that show the connection between people and environmental issues.

The lights off at The Float@Marina Bay. coincides with iLight Marina Bay Festival. Attending this year’s event includes Ambassador Burhan Gafoor, Chief Negotiator for Climate Change, Minister of Foreign Affairs and WWF International Director General Designate Marco Lamberton.
