Etihad Airways will introduce non-stop daily service between Abu Dhabi and Phuket from 26 October 2014 using a two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Each daily flight carries 22 in Pearl Business Class and 240 in Economy.
Phuket will be the airline’s second destination in Thailand after Bangkok. It is the airline’s seventh South East Asian city including Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta. Bangkok has been the airline’s most popular route for the past four years carrying 742,759 passengers flown in 2013.

Phuket is the ninth route to be announced by the airline this year. Services commenced to Medina on 1 February which will be followed by Jaipur on 1 April, Los Angeles on 1 June, Zurich on 1 June, Yerevan on 2 July, Rome on 15 July, Perth on 15 July, Phuket on 26 October and Dallas on 3 December.
