Vigilante sees former victim Kim Jiyong grow up driven by a thirst for revenge. Tired of seeing the legal system fail and repeat offenders be set free, Jiyong spends his formative years becoming a star student at the police academy. A martial arts master and bookish academic, he uses his inside knowledge to pursue non-repentant repeat offenders and deliver his own violent form of justice. But when the media catches on to his attacks, Jiyong will be forced into a cat and mouse game to continue pursuing criminals while avoiding being caught himself.

Nam Joohyuk of Start-Up, Twenty Five Twenty-One stars as the vengeful vigilante Kim Jiyon. Joohyuk was born on 22 February 1994 and started his career as a model in 2013. He has appeared in several music videos for Akdong Musician and made his acting debut in 2014 with the tvN drama The Idle Mermaid.

Yoo Jitae (Oldboy, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area) stars as Jo Heon, a ruthless detective committed to stopping the vigilante at any cost; Lee Junhyuk (Stranger, Designated Survivor: 60 Days) stars as Cho Kangok; and Kim Sojin (The Spy Gone North, The King) stars as Choi Miryeo, a broadcaster who exposes the Vigilante’s actions. Vigilante is directed by Choi Jeongyeol.

The addition of Vigilante to Disney+ marks another exciting inclusion in the ever-growing collection of acclaimed Korean content on the platform. This expansion includes titles like “Moving“, a gripping series that follows a group of South Korean spies on a mission to safeguard their super powered children, shielding them from the malevolent clutches of government agencies seeking to exploit their abilities.

Additionally, viewers can now immerse themselves in “The Worst of Evil“, a high-octane crime thriller that unfolds as the volatile police officer Park Junmo goes undercover to dismantle a perilous new criminal syndicate. Beyond these thrilling Korean originals, Disney+ subscribers can revel in a vast library of entertainment, encompassing not only more APAC Originals but also a diverse array of globally celebrated blockbuster titles.
