SingTel Grid Girls have always been a star attraction for the Singapore Grand Prix, where girls vying for top honour and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to hold the Singapore Formula One and Singapore GP flags at the Singapore Grand Prix. This year the eight finalists aged from 18 to 26 will be crowned by the public where votes will be garnered via SMS and online voting to be the top three SingTel Grid Girls.  

To let the fans know the girls a little better, the eight finalist will be starring on The Singapore Factora series of webisodes hosted by Paul Foster, where the girls be tested on their knowledge of the Lion City via a trio of uniquely Singaporean challenges. The top three SingTel Grid Girls will be crowned before thousands of Singaporeans at the Thursday Pit Lane Experience on 19 September 2013.

 

SingTel Presents Formula 1 Singapore Style!

Being the Title Sponsor of the Singapore Grand Prix for the sixth year, SingTel brings the F1 race experience closer to the hearts of Singaporeans with Formula 1 Singapore Style, a hyper-local theme that involves a series of Singapore-style activities designed for all in Singapore to feel like they own a piece of the Singapore Grand Prix race action. The activities includes:

  • 2-Image 2The Big Race, is an Official Formula 1 racing game challenge to search for Singapore’s fastest virtual race drivers who will race alongside popular local celebrities. The winner will receive a 3-day trip for two to France for an F1 driving experience. Local celebrities Joanne Peh, Qi Yuwu, Pei Fen and Romeo Tan, will take their marks to clock their fastest lap times in the Official F1 racing game.

 

  • The first time the Singapore Grand Prix has its own special flag created with a symbolic red square. A digital version of this Formula 1 Singapore Style flag will be hosted on www.singtelrace.com/wavetheflag for all to have a go at virtually “waving” the flag on their smartphones. Fans that “wave” the digital flag stand a chance to win daily prizes.

 

  • 1-Image 4First-time collaborations with home-grown designers for the Singapore Grand Prix trophy and the SingTel Grid Girl uniform designs. Samuel Wong from local menswear label, Evenodd, had the opportunity to inject a fresh and sporty-luxe design to this year’s SingTel Grid Girls’ uniforms and established local jewellery and gift designer, Risis, created this year’s Singapore Grand Prix trophy.
