The Bootleg Beatles: Singapore in November

9 July 2012, Singapore – It has been 50 years since The Beatles recorded their first album at Abbey Road Studios making their first radio debut.  The world’s first and finest homage to the Fab Four – The Bootleg Beatles will make its debut tour to the Grand Theatre at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to perform five shows from 8 to 11 November 2012.   Together with an eight-piece orchestra, the Bootleg Beatles will perform renditions of the greatest songs from the entire Beatles catalogue.  You can expect four costume changes which reflect The Beatles’ evolution.

The Bootleg Beatles was formed by the original bootleg John Lennon, Neil Harrison and Andre Barreau who is the current bootleg George Harrison.  They met during a performance in West End production of Beatlemania and were signed up with the foremer Beatles manager Brian Epstein’s Agency NEMS.    Within two years, the group became the first western rock group to tour the Soviet Union, going on to tour India, Middle East, Far East, USA and establishing an annual UK Theatre Tour.

The Bootleg Beatles have performed close to 5,000 shows around the world for the past 33 years including venues such as Wembley Stadium, The Royal Albert Hall, Knebworth, Glastonbury Festival and the Budokan Stadium in Tokyo where The Beatles originally performed.     They have shred the stage with Rod Stewart, Elton John, David Bowie, Bon Jovi, KD Lang and Iggy Pop.   They were also invited to perform at Queen Elizabeth’s recent Golden Jubilee celebration at Buckingham Palace.
