Enjoy a five-course Querciabella Wine Dinner at Ki Teppan & Rogama

Ki Teppan & Rogama presents their first wine dinner with Querciabella, the pioneer of natural viticulture on 27 September 2022. The five-course wine dinner will be presented by Florent Mougin, Asia export director of Querciabella and paired with dishes created by chef-founder Chi Pin Han.

The menu features Scampi & Shirako Chawanmushi with scallops broth, Rogama grilled Australian quail with chicken jus and grilled autumn mushrooms, Rogama grill pork belly and aubergine with Kyoto red miso, Teppan wagyu served with grilled romesco, lemon zest and shaved AOP Comte cheese and NZ spring lamb Teppanyaki style with yuzu kosho miso served with Hiyamugi Japanese noodles. 

The line-up of wines include a selection of stalwarts from the Querciabella repertoire:  Querciabella Mongrana Bianco (white wine), Querciabella Chianti Classico 2005, Querciabella Chianti Classico 2019, Querciabella Camartina 2011, Querciabella Camartina 2015. The Camartina 2011 has scored full points by  Bibenda, the prestigious magazine and wine guide coordinated by the Italian Sommelier Foundation.

Querciabella stands out for being at the forefront of natural viticulture. Notable for the choices made by owner Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, an environmentalist and cruelty-free champion, the estate has evolved a unique vegan biodynamic approach that forbids the use of all animal-derived products from vineyard to bottle. Founded in 1974, as single hectare on the hillside of Greve in Chianti, the estate has since grown to over 100 hectares of organic vineyards across Chianti Classico and Maremma. The vitality of these thriving ecosystems results in healthier and more flavourful grapes, the perfect foundation of harmonious wines that truthfully reflect the rich diversity of the Tuscan terroir.
