June 2012, Singapore – The 2012 Formula Drift Asia race is set to flag off in Singapore on 30 June 2012 at the Changi Exhibition Centre. Casio Singapore has for its first time, sponsored Formula Drift Star, Ken Gushi and his team, the G-Shock – Kumho Tires Drift Team.

The watch brand has also launched a limited edition Casio G-Shock DW-6900CB-4DRIFTDS which was sold out within half an hour of its release at the Casio G-Factory store at Bugis Junction.

The S$178 Casio G-Shock DW-6900 was specially designed by local streetwear label, Flesh Imp. This watch is coordinated with the colour theme of the Formula Drift race – Red, Black and White. One portion of the watch strap is inspired by the ‘stickerbomb’ sports culture of many different stickers pasted on a car over a period of time.

Ken Gushi was also at Bugis Junction on 16 June for fans to take him on in an arcade racing competition.

  3. I want to win – there’s no other reason except it is a FABULOUS watch and no one deserves to wear it except an equally FABULOUS person! =)

  4. The reason is pretty simple, it is a limited edition being autographed by KEN GUSHI and owning it will make my superior who is great fan of Ken Gushi very jealous! Lame, but show off aside, I do fancy the watch a lot though =-=

Thanks for the giveaway and ‘liked’ your facebook page, my facebook link:

  5. If is not because of an bike accident that broke my previous G-shock that I’ve owned for 10years, I’ll not need another watch to replaced it.
A trully durable watch, only to change 2 times of battery and a strap over 10years, is unreplacable.
As a Motorsport fan, I really hope to get this watch, to become yet another proud owner of a new limited edition G-shock. Every second counts, only with a trust worthy watch like G-shock.

A good motto for this watch should be: “What drives you”.

Ken Gushi’s persistence serves as a good inspiration to people. He sheds hope to those who lack it. Winning that specially designed G-Shock watch would be an honor for me and the people I could help along the way.

When the moment comes to be strong, I’ll look at that watch to remind me that I too have the potential to be great. I salute you, Ken Gushi!

The fiery red design just screams! And with the specially designed logo, this watch is a total package in itself, a definite eye catcher.

But the watch is more than just a great design (not to mention durability), it also serves as an emblem to remember the iconic Ken Gushi and what he has achieved. Through dedication and hard work to master his craft, it led him to where he is now. Owning a G-shock watch like this continuously reminds us to be the best that we can be. Just like Ken Gushi and his love for the art of drifting. It gives great honor and pride to inspire us all to do our best, whatever it takes. And we will succeed as long as we put our hearts into it.

  10. Commentator ABC: And down goes the flag and Ken Gushi’s off!
Me: He’s picking up speed fast as he approaches the first series of turns
Commentator ABC: OMG! And the crowd goes wild with the smell of burning rubber and the sound of squealing tires! As his Toyota JZX100 Chaser slides into the turn, look at how he works the throttle, counter steering, and clutch in perfect experience!
Me: Yes, he has indeed followed his line closely and with such a sharp angle and counter steer through the entire turn, he’s going to score big points! And I’m going to score this cool G-Shock watch autographed by him!

i so wanna get the fiery red coveted limited edition gshock. it screams to me of the passion that renowned drift drivers like Ken Gushi has. It also reflects upon how far flesh imp has gone global and it has always been a local brandname that is respected and established. This red rendition of the classic casio gshock model dw-6900 really does stand on its own in terms of design, attractiveness and not to mention the durability. i would so love to have one on my wrist and if i am Ken Gushi, ill be putting the pedal to the metal and drifting around corners so effortlessly cool with this crimson gem of a watch strapped to my steering wheel.

  12. See Sze Ping

I want it for its red-hot sexiness that makes other watches fade to black and white. The imp in me knows it’s ‘da bomb’ and wants to see my friends’ reaction as they clap their eyes on it resting on my wrist. They Ken Gush(i) all over it, if you catch my drift.

  13. To be supporting a local brand whilst showcasing the sponsorship of an international drift driver. Not just a watch- It’s a fashion statement, testament of a certain lifestyle that speaks volumes. Casio timepieces are uniquely timeless that way.

  14. Chen Zhiwei

I currently wearing a 5 years old G-shock watch, it very lasting. Will always get G shock as mt prefer watch for all occasion. Of course with the limited edition watch, i can be the highlight of all the place i go.

I will be attending this weekend’s event, cheering for Ken Gushi as he performs his series of consistent bumper to bumper tandem drifting runs!
And since it’s my birthday on 30th June, this autographed watch will be the perfect birthday present ever!

  21. Since my wife wouldn’t allow me to have sticker-bombs on my car, the closest I can to having them would be to have a sticker-bomb watch. Will superadrianme.com grant me this wish? 😀
