Blue Bottle Coffee has officially arrived in Singapore with the opening of its first-ever café in Southeast Asia, located at LUMINE SINGAPORE in Raffles City. This milestone marks a major step for the globally recognised specialty coffee brand, which has built a cult following for its meticulous approach to coffee craftsmanship. While Blue Bottle made its initial retail debut in Singapore in August 2024—offering merchandise, beans, and an exhibition space—this new café now brings the full Blue Bottle experience to the city, allowing customers to enjoy freshly brewed coffee in a space designed with the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic.
[Updated 21 March 2025] Blue Bottle Coffee is set to open on 3 April 2025, welcoming guests daily from 8am to 10pm with indoor seating for 42. Visitors can look forward to the brand’s signature single-origin and espresso-based drinks, made with Blue Bottle’s trademark attention to detail. A rotating menu of seasonal coffees — including hand-drip pour-overs and espresso — will showcase beans sourced sustainably from farms around the world.

Founded in Oakland, California, in 2002, Blue Bottle Coffee started as a small coffee cart and quickly grew into a world-renowned specialty coffee movement, celebrated for its dedication to sourcing the finest beans, precise roasting techniques, and commitment to sustainability. The brand has expanded across the United States, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and China, with Singapore becoming its latest destination. This new opening reinforces Blue Bottle’s longstanding partnership with LUMINE, as the brand has been a staple in many of LUMINE’s shopping centres in Japan. The synergy between the two brands—both dedicated to craftsmanship, hospitality, and community—makes this café’s launch particularly meaningful.

Blue Bottle’s arrival in Singapore is also a timely addition to the country’s ever-evolving café culture, which has seen a growing appreciation for specialty coffee and artisanal brewing techniques. Guests can expect Blue Bottle’s signature single-origin pour-overs, seasonally curated espresso menus, and small-batch roasted beans that highlight the delicate nuances of different coffee-growing regions. With its focus on precision and quality, Blue Bottle is poised to become a must-visit destination for coffee lovers looking to elevate their caffeine rituals.
The opening of the café follows LUMINE SINGAPORE’s relocation in 2024, when the Japanese fashion and lifestyle retailer downsized to a more intimate space in Raffles City. This move was part of a strategic shift towards a more curated retail experience, and Blue Bottle’s café is a natural extension of this vision, offering visitors a sophisticated yet approachable environment to unwind over a well-crafted cup of coffee. The partnership between the two brands aligns with LUMINE’s “Global & Sustainable” vision, blending Japanese sensibilities with local culture while introducing new lifestyle concepts to Singapore.
“We are thrilled to bring the full Blue Bottle experience to Singapore in partnership with LUMINE,” said Kester Whitaker, Chief Growth Officer & Head of Asia at Blue Bottle Coffee. “Our connection with LUMINE runs deep, and after nearly a decade of working together in Japan, we are excited to introduce our café to Southeast Asia—starting with Singapore, a city that shares our passion for craftsmanship and high-quality coffee.”
With its sleek interiors, warm hospitality, and unwavering dedication to quality, Blue Bottle Coffee’s first Southeast Asian café is set to become a standout addition to Singapore’s thriving coffee landscape. As it continues its global expansion, this launch is not just about serving coffee—it’s about creating an experience that embodies the brand’s philosophy of precision, sustainability, and community.
