Myo Restobar has opened at Oxley Tower in Robinson Road on 11 December 2017. It is the sister restaurant of Kia Hiang Restaurant which has been at International Plaza since 1975. Myo Restobar serves affordable Cantonese home-style dishes as well as dim sum. The restaurant is open daily from 11 am to 9 pm except on Saturdays.

Enjoy dim sum dishes if you want something not too heavy for lunch. Enjoy the usual suspects such as steamed shrimp dumplings, bbq pork buns, pan-fried radish cake or fanciful steamed siu mai with conpoy and black truffle, flaky angus beef pastry, healthy walnut buns, or and gold foil dumplings with assorted mushrooms.

Kia Hiang Claypot Spring Chicken has been an all-time favourite signature item and it is also available at Myo Restobar. The chicken is lightly fried so that the flesh is firm. It is then braised at low temperature for an hour to extract the chicken jus and tenderise the meat. It is rested for another hour for the flavour to be absorbed into the meat. The cabbage is fried till fragrant and then the special sauce is added in and served to guests. No artificial sweeteners and MSG are used.

Available at S$18 for the Spring Chicken or S$28 for the Organic Chicken.

You also won’t want to miss out on the absolutely divine desserts. Save some appetite for the Young Coconut that has been stewed with peach gum and egg white. And if you love durians, go for the popular durian mochi.

Craft beers can also pair well with your meal. The craft beers available are Kona Big Wave (Golden Ale), Lost Coast 8 Ball (Stout), Stone Go To (Session IPA) and Sharkinator (White IPA) priced at S$12 or S$13.
