Nestled in a quiet corner in Rochester Mall (with outlets in Tanjong Katong and Turf City too), Pies & Coffee is a concept café founded in 2011, specialising in gourmet pies and coffee.  Besides savoury and sweet pies, you can also tuck in to cakes, soup, salad and Gelato. The  beverage menu features gourmet coffee blends, hot tea, milk shakes, wines and beers. The cosy space sits a small crowd and welcomes both takeaways and dining in.

What to look out for:

The cafe has a ‘Pie of the month’ concept which features a new flavour every month. Look out for the air-infusion brewed coffee (Blue Mountain, Kenyan AA and Columbia Supremo) which are only available at the Rochester Mall branch. Check out pies inspired by mouth-watering savoury dishes including Wagyu Beef Cheek ($8.95) and Tom Yum Pie ($8.95)

This season, Pies & Coffee introduces new selections that will delight your taste buds.

Pies & Coffee Selected Picks

Salmon and Sweet Pea Pie

(S$9.95) (Available in November)

This unique pie gives a spin on the classic chicken pie with its cooked salmon meat, sweet green peas, onions and garlic filling encrusted in crust baked to light brown perfection. The salmon meat adds a layered interesting texture that complements the natural sweetness of the vegetables. The salmon fish comes in bite-sized pieces which is just the right size for that delightful mix of ingredients in every bite.

Santa’s Chicken with Turkey Ham Pot Pie

(S$9.95) (Available in December)

This pie contains a melting pot of ingredients: chicken and turkey ham, green peas, carrots, chunky potatoes and onions. The pie crust, like most of the pie creations featured has a texture that is just right, not too thick that it overwhelms the ingredients. This is a comfort food that manages to be wholesome as well with its balanced portions of meat and vegetables. Best served piping hot and with good company.

Frosty Minced Pie served with Vanilla ice-cream

(S$8.80) (Available in December)

This pie brings in the festive cheer in every way possible: A lightly-frosted pie filled with rum-infused dried fruits. If you love fruit cake, you will love this rum and fruit creation in a crusty pie. It comes served with smooth vanilla ice cream which helps to tone down its sweetness, in a good way.

Gingerbread man

(S$3.00) (Available in December)

It is hard to say no to this little man with his huge button-eyes. Gingerbread man is Pies & Coffee new guy on the block and a great selection to accompany their Christmas desserts. This festive treat is great with children and the young at heart, basically anyone from age 5 to 99.

Pies & Coffee Chestnut Rhapsody

(S$39.90) (Available in December)

Chestnut Rhapsody features French imported chestnut paste and candied chestnut layered with soft sponge cake. This offers a refreshing option to those who like variations (from the usual suspect of chocolate topping) for their Christmas log cake. A little goes a long way and we recommend sharing the joy.

Pies & Coffee Choco-Holly Log

(S$39.90) (Available in December)

This is a classic log cake with that extra bit of sparkle: Smooth dark chocolate mousse with crunchy caramel bites, Iranian pistachio and (fancy) gold dust. Chocolate and nuts have always been complementary best friends but with that added crunch of caramel bites, this log cake is a satisfying blend of textures and flavours with its sweetness and a tinge of salty. A little goes a long way and we recommend sharing the joy.

Pies & Coffee has three outlets at #01-02 Rochester Mall, #01-10 Turf City and at 232 Tanjong Katong Road.
