Expect a gastronomic spread of Mediterranean-themed delicacies dressed up in pink, alongside an abundance of live seafood and handcrafted desserts. Did I also mention that there will be pink balloons and matching servers to get everyone into the mood?

Of course, it will be more than just a “colour”. The kitchen combined aesthetics with an elegant dining experience. Take their Gammon Ham with Rhubarb Sauce main, for example. While the gammon is commonly glazed with a fruity marmalade or honey, the rhubarb sauce is a fresh alternative thanks to its tart and tangy flavours. Cooked with sugar, it balanced out the savoury, smoky ham – a must-have!

While I would leave the carbs out during a buffet spread, I could not help go for another serving of their Prawn Penne with Pink Vodka Sauce. This tomato-based pasta dish hits all the right spots! I mean, look at all those prawns with their heads still intact. I am a sucker for that rich, creamy essence hiding in each of every one of them (pun intended).

There is also an outdoor area filled with local delights including everyone’s favourite Prawn Paste Chicken (Har Cheong Gai), Siew MaiRoti Prata and more. But, I think it is time to move on to the real deal when it comes to all things pink.

Desserts! From the Lychee Rose Raspberry Panna Cotta, Rose and Watermelon cake to a strawberry chocolate fountain to dip your marshmallows in, it was a dream come true. Kwee Zeen was so on theme, even their Häagen-Dazs ice cream flavours came with a vibrant shade of raspberry.

That aside, what sets Kwee Zeen apart for me was their Chocolaterie. It is one thing to witness such an amazing spread of dainty chocolate truffles alongside the already impressive spread of cakes, puffs and tarts, but it is another to savour all the winning flavours hidden in each of them. The ones that stole the show were the simplest – the cempedak and durian truffles. It was almost as if I plucked the fruit off the tree and dipped it in milk chocolate myself! Bonus: No lingering, pungent guilt to follow you around all the day either.

Pink is a colour associated with happiness, love, friendship and harmony. After dining at Kwee Zeen’s Saturday Pink Brunch, I am happy to say I felt every bit of those good vibes. Perhaps it is the spectacular spread, the endless Rose wine or the sunlight dancing across the pool gifting us all the best view in the whole of Sentosa for brunch, but one thing for sure, is that I will be coming back here for another round real soon.

Kwee Zeen’s Saturday Pink Brunch is available every Saturday, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, at S$98++ per adult with free flow of soft drinks and juices, or free flow Rose wine with an additional S$30++. Children dine at S$49++ each.
