The Whisky Distillery is the exclusive distributor of a limited 282 bottles of the Glenglassaugh 10-Year Old Coastal Cask Series in Singapore at S$288 per bottle. The single cask, non-chill filtered is bottled at cask strength and matured for over 10 years in Spanish Wine Hogshead.
This particular Cask No. 888 used in the bottling was selected by Glenglassaugh distillery’s Master Blender, Dr Rachel Barrie, for The Whisky Distillery in Singapore where she previously visited in November 2018. Dr. Barrie has over 27 years in the Scotch whisky industry. She has been inducted as a ‘Keeper of the Quaich’.
The 56.7% ABV whisky has a varnished cherrywood colour with a nose of chocolate toffee, hazelnut and sultana with raisin and berry fruit. On the palate, there is an explosion of ripe and stewed fruit, with blackberry, sultana, chocolate cream and lasting salinity.
Also in town to share more about Glennglassauch was its global brand ambassador Stewart Buchanan. Stewart has over 25 years of experience in the whisky industry and was named ‘Keeper of the Quaich’ in 2018 for his professionalism and dedication shown through his role in resurrecting the BenRiach and Glenglassaugh distilleries. Stewart became the Global Brand Ambassador for BenRiach, Glendronach and Glennglassaugh distilleries.
