If you’ve been scrolling through social media and stopping at those impossibly thick Japanese pork cutlets, you no longer need to book a flight to Japan. Tonkatsu ENbiton has introduced Japan’s viral thick-cut katsu to Singapore for the first time, bringing its towering 5cm pork cutlets to all outlets islandwide. Made with chestnut-fed Spanish pork loin and coated with nama panko imported from Saitama Prefecture, each piece is fried till golden while keeping the centre tender and slightly blush pink.
Leading the new menu additions is the ENbiton Signature Thick-cut Katsu Set. Available in a full 350g portion at S$34.90 or a half 175g serving at S$32.90, it comes with Japanese rice, shredded cabbage with arugula, pickles and tonjiru, with rice, vegetables and soup all offered free-flow. Those who prefer a richer option can go for the ENbiton Signature Thick-cut Katsu Don, where the giant katsu sits over fluffy egg and Japanese rice. Portions are limited to just 30 servings daily, so latecomers may miss out.
Beyond the viral star, Tonkatsu ENbiton continues serving other signatures worth ordering. The Hokkaido Menchi Cheese Katsu Set combines minced Hokkaido pork with molten cheddar cheese, while the Kaisen Mix Fry Set brings together prawn, oyster, scallop and salmon in one seafood platter. Whether you arrive for social media worthy “thick content” or simply a solid tonkatsu fix, these new additions add another reason for pork lovers to gather.
