If you have visited the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the National Gallery Singapore and snapped photos of the exhibits, you want to head over to The Courtyard at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore for its first Yayoi Kusama-inspired Afternoon Tea which is happening till 31 July 2017. If you have not, the exhibition is on till 3 September 2017.
In addition to the Afternoon Tea’s selection of replenishable finger sandwiches, bite-sized pastries, assorted cakes and freshly baked scones, the Yayoi Kusama – Inspired Afternoon Tea is presented on a three-tier tray featuring five special creations from the Japanese artist’s original pieces including the Gleaming Lights of the Souls, I Pray Forever, Life is the Heart of a Rainbow, I Want to Live Forever and a mango cremeux confection on piped buttercream frosting and a chocolate base featuring polka dots synonymous with Kusama. These eye-catching desserts created by Executive Pastry Chef Enrico Pezzelato was inspired to stay true to Kusama’s works as well as to continually push boundaries just like Kusama.
Enjoy the bites with free flow TWG tea or coffee of your choice at The Fullerton Hotel’s sunlit atrium lobby. There is a live harpist to complete your experience on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This afternoon tea is priced at S$43++ per person on Mondays to Fridays from 3pm to 6pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 4pm (1st seating) or 4.30pm to 6pm (2nd seating).
