This Parents’ Day, Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at TOP of UOB Plaza 1 invites you to celebrate with a nourishing twist. Wholesome, heartwarming dishes made with premium organic produce from ZENXIN Organic. Whether you’re gathering the family for a hearty shabu shabu feast, indulging in dainty dim sum over high tea, or sending love home with a takeaway set, these specially curated menus promise a meaningful and delicious way to show appreciation, the organic way.
Launched earlier this month Executive Chef Hoo Chee Kong has cooked up a a wholesome and nourishing celebration menu for Parent’s Day till end June 2025.

Tai Seng Yee, Executive Director of ZENXIN Agri-Organic Food tells us it only takes 24 hours for the fresh produce from Cameron Highlands to reach Singapore. And they are sustainably farmed without pesticides.

The Organic Assorted Shabu Shabu is a healthier twist on the traditional hotpot experience. It’s not your Shabu Shabu with thinly sliced meats that you’re familiar with. This reimagined dish features 10 different types of Organic vegetables. Yes! An all vegetable hot pot to awake your senses with clean umami-packed flavours. The soup base is made with organic kombu, dried shiitake mushrooms, soy beans, and bone broth. The vegetables are so fresh you can eat them without cooking especially that very crunchy and sweet corn.

Highlights of other dishes you can enjoy with some of the sets included the Stir-fried Diced Japanese Wagyu Beef with Sichuan Pepper Sauce or the Steamed King Garoupa Fillet with Homemade Preserved Chilli. The Stir-fried Organic Cabbage with Sakura Prawn in XO Sauce was one of my favourites dishes. You can taste the sweetness from the cabbage and prawns.

The Smoked Sautéed Organic Okra paired with Fresh Bamboo Charcoal Chinese Yam looks as interesting on the plate as it does when you finish off with black stained teeth, that washes off with a sip of tea. Again you can taste the freshness of the okra. Definitely a dish to laugh it off at the end when you compare whose teeth is darker.

We highly recommend the Poached Rice with Western Australia Lobster and Fresh Pumpkin Puree in Shabu Shabu. The broth is infused with the natural sweetness of fresh vegetables and succulent lobster. Crispy bubble rice and Pumpkin puree is added to give the broth a golden hue. Crispy bubble rice offers the light crunch to this heartwarming dish.

Oh, and diners don’t leave empty-handed. They get a wholesome organic hamper (worth S$68!) with selected set menus. Not dining in? No worries. You can still score major brownie points with the Parents’ Day Organic Takeaway Set for 6 at S$388+ via Oddle or Foodpanda.
Keeping it light for Parents’ Day? There’s a High Tea Set just for that. Handcrafted dim sum made with organic goodness, going at S$48++ per person (minimum four to a party). Bonus: pay with a UOB card and one lucky diner eats for free. Oh, and yes, you’ll still walk away with a free organic gift hamper. Fancy, right?
Not gonna lie. Writing this while sailing through Alaska on the Celebrity Summit wasn’t easy… mostly because we haven’t had decent Chinese food since landing in North America on 13 May. Scrolling through the photos from our media tasting at Si Chuan Dou Hua had me feeling major homesick cravings.
