Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Singaporean men, and early stages often show no symptoms at all.
That’s why the 365 Cancer Prevention Society (365CPS) is bringing back #My1stProstateCheck, a free prostate cancer screening campaign for eligible Singaporean men, especially from lower-income groups. It’s your chance to take control of your health with a simple, potentially life-saving check.
“Men often hesitate to talk about prostate health, let alone get checked. This delay can be costly to their lives. Through #My1stProstateCheck, we are raising awareness of the disease, as well as making prostate screening accessible for those who may otherwise be left behind. We want to encourage men to prioritise their health, and normalising conversations about prostate cancer is the first step towards that.”
Mr Andrew Soh, Assistant Director of Fundraising, Marketing, and Volunteer Management at 365CPS.

Why it matters:

- 7,515 men in Singapore were diagnosed between 2018 and 2022
- 17.4% of all cancers in men were prostate-related
- It’s highly treatable with early detection — survival rate is over 89% in early stages
- But if left unchecked, it can lead to pain, mobility issues, and even death
Prevention tip: Eat smart. Cut down on red meats, alcohol and sugary foods. Embrace more veggies, whole grains and healthy fats. The Mediterranean diet is a good start.
