Catch It Early! Free Colorectal Cancer Screenings for Lower-Income Singaporeans

Let’s talk about something serious—but with a dose of lighthearted encouragement. We know colonoscopies aren’t exactly on your bucket list, but trust us, this one could literally save your life! If you’re aged 45 to 70 and hold a valid Blue or Orange CHAS card (or a PA card), then congratulations—you’re eligible for a free colorectal cancer screening, courtesy of 365 Cancer Prevention Society’s #My1stColonoscopy campaign.

Why Should You Care?

Colorectal cancer is sneaky. It’s the second most common cancer in Singapore and usually shows no symptoms in the early stages. By the time it does, it might be a tougher battle. A simple colonoscopy, however, can catch the bad guys (a.k.a. pre-cancerous polyps) before they turn into something more serious.

Think of it as your body’s version of crime prevention—except you’re catching rogue cells instead of burglars!

Who’s Behind This?

The folks at 365 Cancer Prevention Society and Icon Cancer Centre are making this happen. They’ve teamed up with some pretty amazing medical partners, community groups, and social service agencies to ensure that cost isn’t a barrier to a potentially life-saving screening.

How to Sign Up?

It’s simple! Head to https://bit.ly/my1stcolonoscopy and register. If you prefer a human touch, you can also reach out to 365CPS community partners for assistance.

Eligibility Criteria: ✅ 45 to 70 years old
✅ Hold a Blue or Orange CHAS card (or Public Assistance card)
✅ Haven’t had a colonoscopy in the past five years

If you check all three boxes—congratulations, you’re in!
