If there is one thing to be grateful for this July, it would be the opening of K+ Curatorial Space at Scotts Square, Level 3. Hailed as the Noah’s Ark for Singapore art and design, it is the brainchild of a group of brave locals pushing the boundaries, and proving that Singapore is capable of producing talents that can take on the world. Truly, it is a good time to be alive on this little red dot.

Following its continued success overseas and locally, it only made sense for them to take the next big step. That being, the huge 4,000 square feet space which will continue to springboard new and established artists, designers and brands to showcase their works.

It is a lot to take in, and a lot more to be proud of. For now, we present you 5 reasons why K+ is going to be your new one-stop destination for all things shopping.

From 1 July to 14 August 2015, the gallery space will play host to Nathan Yong’s newest The Constellation collection. Those who find his name familiar may have purchased some of his innovative pieces under Nathan Yong Design and Grafunkt by Nathan Yong.

This two-time winner of the prestigious Red Dot Concept Design and winner of the President’s Design Award for Designer of Designer of the Year continues to baffle audiences with his pragmatic yet poetic touch in his designs. Visitors can dress up their homes with his pieces, as they will all be retailed exclusively at the shop till February 2017.

Every now and then, K+ will be bringing in independent artisans, hobbyists and amateur creators from Singapore and around the region to showcase and sell their works. It also acts as a communal space where practitioners, students or just about anyone interested in art and design can freely mingle and interact. To help facilitate, there’s even free Wi-Fi coupled with their co-working space for creative start-ups!
