The second edition of the Colour Run returns to Singapore over the weekend of 30 and 31 August 2014. Popularly known as the Happiest 5k of the Planet, the Colour Run this year will accommodate an increase in participation numbers from 16,000 to 18,000 this year.
The Colour Run will be held at Sentosa Beach Car Park, Sentosa Island. The run starts at 4pm and ends at 10pm. Registration at S$55 which includes entry into Sentosa, a runner’s T-shirt, head band and other goodies opens on 4 July 2014 at 3pm. Visit thecolorrun.com.sg to signup.
S$1 from every registration will be donated to the Singapore Disability Sports Council.
The Colour Run in Singapore is sponsored by CIMB Bank which sponsored last year’s run in Singapore and in Jakarta in January this year. It has also sponsored the Colour Run in Kuala Lumpur which will happen on 17 August 2014.
CIMB has created a Facebook application “CIMB SPLASH”, a virtual realm for people to simulate the spectacle, much like the real event, as the journey through the colour zones onsite. Participate and submit your most vibrant, creative and colourful profile pictures for voting through the app from 26 June to 23 July. The 25 most voted pictures will each win a pair of tickets.
