EVA Air introduced RIMOWA’s electronic tags into baggage check in procedures from 8 December 2016. It is the first airline in Asia and the second worldwide after Lufthansa to launch this service. The check in process is now made easier with the EVA Air mobile App and RIMOWA electronic tag luggage. You can check in anywhere without waiting in line. Connect the App to the luggage and confirm the e-tag information in the electronic panel on the side of the bag. After completing the e-tag check-in process, just drop off your baggage at the designated “online check-in counter” at the airport.
The new e-tag baggage check in service is now available for passengers departing from San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, New York JFK, Vancouver, Toronto, Paris, Vienna, Tokyo and all international airports in EVA’s Taiwan home base except for Taipei – London flights due to government regulations. More airports will be added in the future.
