Here are my impressions for the HP TouchPad and some pictures I took during the launch event.

As you can see from the pictures, the HP TouchPad comes in a glossy finish that makes it a Super fingerprint magnet both front and back. The unit is slightly heavier than the tablets that have recently launched by other companies. But the unique selling point for the HP TouchPad is the operating system, webOS 3.0, thats running it. The webOS 3.0 performs multitasking  by grouping your activities in the form of card stacks, so you can easily track all related items together.

The HP Synergy feature, which keeps contacts, calendars, messages, photos and email automatically syncs from sources like Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Yahoo!, Skype and Microsoft Exchange. So now you no longer need to search through you facebook for those pictures you uploaded many months back, as they are already synced on to the HP TouchPad.

The HP TouchPad is also one of the first tablet to have a facebook Tablet App running on it. With integrated view of facebook wall for the tablet, making it feels like browsing a magazine version of your own facebook wall.

The onscreen keyboard has a feature that allows you to change the sizes of the keyboard to fit your usage. If you like to see more screen and less keyboard, use the XS size keyboard, and L size keyboard for those with big thumbs like me.

My favourite feature for the HP TouchPad will be the Touchstone technology which allows you to recharge the tablet when it comes in contact with the HP TouchStone Charging Dock, making it look sleek and no need the hassle of plugging the tablet to a charging dock.
