Air Seychelles and India’s Jet Airways unveiled a codeshare agreement today offering enhanced connections on their respective networks.
The agreement offers reciprocal frequent flyer programmes, cargo handling and expansion of codeshare agreements. Air Seychelles will place its HM code on Jet Airways’ domestic services from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kochi and Thiruvanathapuram and also on Jet Airways’ international services between Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.
Jet Airways will place its 9W code on Air Seychelles’ four per week flights between Mumbai and Mahé as well as its flights to Abu Dhabi and Johannesburg subject to regulatory approvals.
Mumbai is one of five destinations served by Air Seychelles in the Indian Ocean and Africa. It launched services to Mumbai in December last year with an A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration, offering 16 business class seats and 120 economy class seats.
The airline also flies to Dar Es Salaam, Johannesburg, Madagascar and Mauritius. Air Seychelles also flies to the other islands in the Seychelles archipelago including Bird, Denis, Frégate and Praslin.
