AirAsia will be offering Wi-Fi onboard by the end of this year offering passengers access to Instant Messaging, emails as well as content streaming. The Malaysian low cost carrier conducted its on-board Wi-Fi testing yesterday. This service will be made gradually on all AirAsia flights with the AK flight code operated by the AirAsia Berhad.
During the User Acceptance Testing yesterday, some 120 AirAsia Allstar volunteers boarded the test flight testing out three instant messaging services – LINE, Whatsapp and WeChat. Live updates of the test flight were shared on AirAsia’s official Twitter and Instagram accounts.
