Bookings for the new Ibis Styles Singapore on MacPherson are now available for stays from 3 April 2016 on ibisstyles.com. When announcements were made in May last year, the 298 room design-led hotel was scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2016. This is Singapore’s first Ibis Styles.
ibis Styles Singapore on MacPherson is conveniently situated close to three different MRT lines. Free shuttle bus service is offered to nearby MRT stations at Tai Seng, Potong Pasir and Paya Lebar. Changi Airport is 20 minutes drive away.
The hotel rooms occupy levels four to nine in a mixed use development which sits on Macpherson Mall which is planned to open in June 2016 with shops and food and beverage options making it convenient for hotel guests.
Rooms here come with buffet breakfast and internet access and are priced from an all-inclusive rate of S$138++ per night. There are four different categories of accommodation at opening including
- Standard Room with 1 Queen Size bed – 18sqm room that accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child
- Standard Room with 2 Single Beds – 20sqm room that can accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child
- Standard Room with 1 Double Bed and 1 Single Bed – 20sqm room can accommodate up to 3 adults and 1 child
- Standard Room with 3 Single Beds – 20sqm room that can accommodate up to 3 adults and 1 child
The hotel’s press release indicated that there are also Family Rooms equipped with a kitchenette but they do not seem to be available for booking on ibis.com at time of publishing this article.
Guests can relax at the pool garden on level four and dip in the 25 m swimming pool amongst palm trees.
The development is owned by LVND Investments Pte Ltd, a consortium comprising Lian Huat Group, Nobel Design Holdings, Expand Group and Steel Industries. The site was acquired in June 2013. Extensive works to completely transform the building with more guest rooms, a 25 m swimming pool and a fully-equipped gymnasium.
