The fourth edition of the annual Margaret River On Tour returns to Singapore from 17 to 23 August 2019 showcasing South West Australia’s fine wines, gourmet food and travel experiences.
Over 30 wineries, restaurants and travel and hospitality businesses from the region will be in Singapore for a week. You can expect wine and dinners, masterclasses, travel trade experiences and fringe events.
Margaret River on Tour Showcase Evening 22 August 2019
The star event will take place at Grand Hyatt Singapore from 6 to 9.30 pm on 22 August 2019. Tickets to this showcase evening is priced at S$75 per guest and can be purchased at MargaretRiverOnTour.com. It will be a night of wine sampling, food and you get to take home a Plumm wine glass valued at S$25.
The showcase will be led by three celebrities in their field – Arimia Winery and Restaurant’s Chef Evan Hayter, award winning surf photographer Russell Ord and Wadandi Custodian Josh “Koomal” Whiteland.
Chef Evan Hayter of Arimia Winery and Restaurant will treat guests to a ‘live’ demonstration of his culinary skills and invite them to taste his dishes featuring seasonal organic and biodynamic produce from the southwest region and the Arimia farm. We were in Margaret River for the Cabin Fever Festival just last month and got to try Chef Hayter’s food in a wine and dine collaboration with Young George’s Chef Melissa Palinkas.
New this year is a photo exhibition by internationally acclaimed local photographer Russell Ord who will share about his passion and his images. Russel has exhibited at Photokina 2016 in Germany and a FujiFilm exhibition in Tokyo Japan in 2017.
Josh “Koomal” Whiteland, a Wadandi custodian whose ancestors walked the ancient land of Margaret River region for over 50000 years will provide the evening’s entertainment through music and presentation.
Wines and other local products will also be available for sale on site. Margaret River experiences can also be booked with the region’s travel partners at the event.
