Qantas is adding more flights to meet growing demand between Sydney and Hong Kong as well as Perth and Singapore from December 2015. Asia is a strategic priority for the airline and it intends to maximise its fleet.
A new Boeing 737-800 service between Perth and Singapore will be added on Tuesdays and Thursdays on a year round basis offering daily service between the two cities from 1 December 2015. Services between the two cities were resumed in June this year and has been a success for Qantas.
A second service on Friday between Sydney and Hong Kong will be added from 11 December 2015 to 23 March 2016 offering 12 services per week including double daily flights between Monday and Friday. The refurbished Boeing 747 and Airbus 330 aircraft will be used to operate this route with some services during Christmas and the Lunar New Year using the Airbus 380s.
