Qatar Airways invites customers to achieve great things together and take journeys that will help them achieve their dreams and ambitions with its new global brand campaign and tagline “Going Places Together”.

This was announced at a press conference held in New York today. The brand campaign highlights a new era in the Skytrax Airline of the Year’s journey as one of the fastest growing airlines operating one of the youngest fleets in the world.  The emotive and modern brand campaign reflects Qatar Airways’ core values as a contemporary and innovative company that is really going places and wants nothing more than to inspire its customers to do the same. This campaign captures the essence of the Qatar Airways brand which is about inclusiveness and bringing people together for a better future.

 

“Today’s brand launch highlights a new era in our airline’s journey,” said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. “Whilst it’s true that we are taking more people on more aircraft to more destinations as we continue to grow, we also recognise that travel itself has changed; it has become a process of enrichment, of self-discovery, of life-changing moments and fulfilling ambitions. We hope that our new campaign will inspire more people to embark on their own personal journey, exploring new places and opportunities, together with their friends, family or colleagues.”

This theme of connectivity extends to the warm welcome every passenger receives upon boarding a Qatar Airways flight from the friendly and helpful cabin crew who are handpicked for their natural ability to make personal connections with every passenger they meet.

This new campaign made its debut in Doha yesterday with newspaper advertisements, a sneak peek on its Arabic social media channels and new brand outdoor advertising on its headquarters building. After the press conference, the new ads appeared on platforms including Times Square Billboards, New York Times, Financial Times, CNN, Qatar TV, Gulf Times and others.

Yesterday Qatar Airways flew the Airbus A350 to the United States making it the first airline to do so. The ferry flight left Hamad International Airport at 7.40am on 8 December and landed in JFK International Airport in New York at 2pm. Qatar Airways is the global launch carrier of the A350 and also the first to fly the aircraft to three continents. It has a fleet of seven A350s currently and flies twice daily to Frankfurt, double daily to Munich and three times a day to Singapore from Doha.

Qatar Airways will receive its eighth A350 by the end of this year and is scheduled to fly daily to Philadelphia from 1 January 2016. It expects to take delivery of more A350s throughout 2016 and will launch flights on this new-generation aircraft to Boston on 16 March 2016, and the new second daily flight to New York from 1 April 2016 and Adelaide in Australia from 2 May 2016.
