Scoot’s TZ108 took off from Singapore to Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, on its all new Boeing 787 Dreamliner yesterday afternoon inaugurating services between the two cities. This service was previously served by Silkair and is taken over by Scoot because of its higher capacity served by the Dreamliner. Hangzhou is Scoot’s fifth destination in China and a total of 16 destinations in eight countries and territories.
The airline also takes delivery of two Boeing 787 Dreamliners this month, bringing its fleet to nine.
TZ108 departs Singapore at 5.10pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and arrives in Hangzhou at 9.45pm. The return flight TZ107 departs Hangzhou at 11pm and arrives in Singapore the next day at 3.55am.
This morning MI 482 Silkair’s inaugural flight to Malé in Maldives departed Changi Airport at 10.40am and is expected to arrive at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport at 11.40am. The return flight MI481 will take off at 1.35pm and is expected to land in Singapore at 9.25pm tonight.
Silkair operates four times weekly flights between Singapore and Malé on its Airbus A320 aircraft. This new service complements Singapore Airlines’ daily flights to Malé. Both airlines will offer a total of twice daily services between the two cities.
