You Can Purchase Singapore – Melbourne flights on Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines will open sales on its 14-weekly flights between Singapore and Melbourne for eligible customers from 22 October 2021 at 5 pm Singapore time. The Victorian Premier announced plans to reopen the Victorian international border to fully vaccinated Australian citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens from 1 November 2021.

Eligibility to travel on these services is determined by the Australian Government and must at least meet the following criteria: 

• Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and 
• Have been fully-vaccinated with a TGA approved or recognised vaccine, and 
• Have a vaccine certificate that meets the Australian Government’s authenticity and verification requirements. 

Or 

• Be an immediate family member of an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or 
• Is a non-Australian citizen or permanent resident, and 
• Holds a valid visa and a travel restriction exemption, and 
• Is fully-vaccinated with a TGA approved or recognised vaccine, and 
• Has a vaccine certificate that meets the Australian Government’s authenticity and verification requirements. 

The airline will support customers holding existing bookings for flights to Melbourne from 1 November 2021 onwards to assist with confirming eligibility to travel on the new For Eligible Passengers Only flights or support rebooking to a capped service.

Over the past 18 months, SIA has continued to operate flights to Australia allowing key trade channels to remain open and connected and essential travel to be undertaken. It currently operates 14-weekly passenger flights between Singapore and Melbourne.
