British Airways has conducted a survey on the travel habits of 1,000 Singaporeans. The results revealed close to half of the respondents chose famous foodie attraction Borough Market as the number one “must visit” shopping destination in London. Other must visit shopping venues were designer brand outlets (34%), Oxford Street (34%) and Portobello Market (29%).

The research was also conducted across specific countries in Asia Pacific and Singaporeans end up the most travelled (92%) compared to Indians (68%), Chinese (71%) and the Japanese (83%). Shopping is more important to Singaporean travellers than it is for Chinese and Japanese travellers.

Only 39% of respondents said that Harry Potter movies inspired them to want to visit United Kingdom. Singaporeans have also revealed that Paris in France is their favourite European destination followed closely by Venice in Italy and London, United Kingdom.

Big Bang Theory Star Kunal Nayyar Shares British Airways Experience

35 year old Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar shares his life experience in an exclusive video interview for British Airways. He starts with how he left home at 18 to fly to America to start his acting career. He shares how for the first time he and his families were in tears on the phone after he landed the life-changing role of Raj in the hit US sitcom.

Kunal regularly flies for work and believes air travel has changed the world for the better, giving people a chance to pursue their dreams and grow their businesses.

Kunal does however have his own bizarre routine during flights – combining cocktails, films and golf magazines.

He confessed: “I have this whole system when I fly. I check in to the lounge, have a cocktail, get onto the flight and read golf magazines. Then we take off and I start watching a movie, I eat and then have to sleep. Then I go to sleep and wake up three hours before we land and I watch another movie. I have my morning tea or evening dinner, depending on where I’m flying to, and then I’m there. I have to finish the flight with a sports documentary. I don’t know why – it just makes me comfortable.”
