SWISS has dedicated its first Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to its employees featuring a special livery bearing the portrait photos of over 2,500 SWISS personnel.
As part of its “Next-Generation Airline of Switzerland” strategy, SWISS has launched its “Faces of SWISS” on the new aircraft which was delivered last week. The special livery will remain on the aircraft for the next 12 months.
Employees submitted their own photos. The employees who were selected reflect and represent the entire SWISS workforce and is further emphasised by the 12 bigger portraits selected from all the photos submitted to highlight the company’s various personnel groups. Over 80 nationalities who work for SWISS in 34 countries were featured. The biggest faces are seven metres tall and the film for the special design is 450 sqm large, weighs 50kg and is just 0.05mm thick.
The ‘Faces of SWISS’ project started last November with a number of photoshoots and ended last weekend with the application of the special livery film to the aircraft’s fuselage.
