West Side Story will tour Singapore at the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands 13 September 2017 for a limited season. Tickets are available from today. Performances will be at 8 pm on Tuesdays to Friday, 2 pm & 8 pm on Saturdays and 1 pm & 6 pm on Sundays.
The cast from the US will be in Singapore to entertain audiences here with Joey McKneely’s award-winning staging of West Side Story. It is the only production in the world to currently feature Jerome Robbin’s original choreography. The new production of the classic dance musical is receiving wild acclaim during sold-out sessions around the world including London, Tokyo and Sydney. Besides Singapore, the tour will travel to Hong Kong and Manila in 2017.
The presenter of this season is Lunchbox Theatrical Productions. West Side Story has been produced three times on Broadway, twice in London’s West End and enjoyed numerous US, UK and international tours over the last 60 years. In 1961, there was a movie version which won 10 Oscars including Best Picture.
