Etihad Airways will operate its Airbus A380 to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport from Abu Dhabi from 1 December 2015. It will continue to offer double daily service between the two cities. The addition of the A380 will allow Eithad Airways to match capacity with increased demand. Last year, load factors in Business and Economy class exceeded 80% on this route.

EY103 departs Abu Dhabi daily at 2.55am and arrives in New York at 8.40am. EY 102 returns from New York at 3pm to Abu Dhabi arriving at 12.30pm the next day. The other flight will be operated on a B777-300ER. EY101 departs Abu Dhabi at 10.20am and arrives in New York at 4.05pm. The return flight EY100 departs New York at 9.55pm and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 7.25pm the next day.

The two daily flights will offer guests from New York access to 709 weekly connections to 34 markets across the Gulf, Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Africa and South East Asia, while equity partner Jet Airways serves 15 unique destinations in India.

Etihad Airways’ A380 features the talked-about The Residence which offers 125 square feet of luxury including a private living room, separate en-suite shower room, bedroom with a double bed, and a dedicated Savoy Academy trained Butler. There is also a 32″ LCD monitor in the living room and a 24″ version int he bedroom. Also in First Class are nine First Apartments featuring Poltona Frau leather lounge chair and an ottoman which opens up to become a separate 80.5″ long fully flat bed. First Apartments offer a 74% increase in space over the airline’s current First Class suites. First Class guests can also shower on board.

The A380 also features 70 Business studios in a 1-2-1 configuration on the upper deck and The Lobby which are for First and Business Class guests to lounge and enjoy cocktails and refreshments. There are 415 Economy Smart seats on the lower deck.
