Jay Park Talks About His New Album “NEW BREED 2012” in Singapore

27 April 2012, Singapore – Jay Park is in Singapore to promote his first solo album “New Breed 2012” with fifteen songs. The album features Dok2, Dynamic Duo, The Quiett, Bizzy, Tasha/ Yoonmirae and Tiger J.K. with a variety of music with different pace.

At a press conference at 5pm today, Jay mentioned that the title track “Know Your Name” is about a guy who sees a beautiful girl and wants to start things slow and get to know her name. Jay picked this dance song as his title track because it had “that sexy charisma” that he wanted. This sexy character is not what Jay is normally. It is a persona that he knows he can pull off on stage. He feels if a girl is worth it, he will definitely take it easy to get to know her better.

Jay coyly mentioned a few times during the press conference that he’ll show people his abs when these abs are ready to be seen. He has been working them out. So fans, do look out for them during his performances.

When asked about his craziest fan experience with a guy, he asked repeatedly “with a guy??”. He eventually shared that he was in a town four hours away from Seoul, and a bunch of guys were trying to show him messages from their cell phones. Nothing crazier than that happened nor has he been tackled by excited male fans. Jay is cool with male fans as much as he used to look up to Usher hoping to dance like him when Jay was still a young boy.

He did however add that that Singaporean girls are beautiful and was delighted to be greeted by a couple of hundred at Changi Airport this morning.

When sharing about the many tattoos he has, Jay mentioned that he liked all of them. Except for the stars on his neck, they all have meanings which he did not elaborate.
