Lufthansa Boeing 747-8 Flight Lands In Hong Kong

Lufthansa German Airlines adds Hong Kong to its first East-Asian and fifth destination worldwide to welcome the world’s longest aircraft – Boeing 747-8 on 2 April 2013.    Lufthansa flies daily from Hong Kong to Frankfurt and Munich.

Flying from Frankfurt to Hong Kong, the new aircraft features an all new Business Class that lets you convert your seat at the press of a button into a horizontal sleeping surface measuring 1.98 metres in length.  The aircraft can accommodate eight in First Class, 80 in Business Class and 298 in Economy Class. Besides the new level of comfort, the Boeing 747-8 comes with new wingtips on the wings that significantly improve aerodynamics and eco-efficiency.  The airline has ordered 19 Boeing 747-8 aircraft to date.
