To present fine cuisine that sticks close to our roots, Zaffron at Oasia Hotel is presenting Asian Chef Series 2013 where renown Peranakan & Local Chinese cuisine chefs will serve guests with a sumptuous Asian inspired dinner. From now till June 2013, Guest Chef Raymond Leong and Executive Chef William Soh will take the helm in the kitchen for May and June respectively, presenting a cozy and chatty family style dinner dining on Thursdays to Saturdays only in each month. This exclusive dinner menu can only serve up to 16 people a night at S$75++ per pax, so reservations are highly recommended.

  • May Celebrity Chef

    • Raymond Leong – serves authentic Penang style Peranakan recipes. Using rare recipes and pain-staking preparation techniques, enjoy his collection of Nonya dishes with sauces made from scratch.
  • June Celebrity Chef

    • William Soh – Author of the cookbook ‘Taste of Nostalgia’, Chef William is our homegrown local Celebrity Chef who has won many fans with his downright traditional Singaporean recipes.

 

 

In April 2013, Guest Chef Malcolm Lee from Candlenut Restaurant showed us his passion and creativity in the Peranakan cuisine presenting a fresh new look and a slight twist in taste to Peranakan cuisine, while maintaining the traditions and recipe passed on to him by his grandmother. It was a wonderful spread created by Chef Malcolm Lee, with every dish bringing you back the familiar home cook taste but yet a hint of modern twist to the recipes will make the dishes WOW and you begging for more.

If you missed Chef Malcolm in April, FEAR NOT. Chef Malcolm will be back with his Candlenut Restaurant when it reopens at Dorsett Residences Singapore later this year.

ASIAN CHEF SERIES is at $75++ per person, inclusive of non-alcoholicAsian Beverages and they include: Calamansi with Sour Plum, Fresh Coconut Juice, Grass Jelly . Soya Bandung . Soya Bean, Hot Beverages, Teh Tarik and Teh Halia.
