SWISS launched its new daily direct service between Singapore and Zurich after a four year hiatus on 13 May 2013.  To celebrate the launch Harry Hohmeister, CEO of Swiss International Air Lines was in Singapore.

Harry Hohmeister shared that SWISS hopes to breakeven within the first year and make target by year three.  Operating on its Airbus A340-300 aircraft, the flight can carry 219 passengers in a three-class cabin configuration.  Fitted with its Business Class cabin, the SIN-ZRH flight features a pneumatic-air-cushion seats which converts into a two-metre-long lie-flat bed and an inflight menu of up to five courses specially created by the finest Swiss chefs.

The airline showcases all things Swiss from Swiss cuisine, amenity kits for First and Business class featuring Swiss luxury and toiletry brands as well as Swiss hospitality.
