The Amazing Food Challenge: Fun in the Philippines

The second season of the 13 part series, The Amazing Food Challenge: Fun in the Philippines returns this year on Asian Food Channel (AFC) on StarHub Channel 435.

10 new food and adventure-loving contestants from around the world will be selected to travel across four regions in the Philippines to compete in a series of traditional themed culinary challenges, engage in high-speed races and create mouth-watering Filipino delicacies.They will vie for the top cash prize of US$30,000.

If you are over 18 years of age, you can submit an audition video to www.facebook.com/asianfoodchannel till 10 August 2014. Contestants will be selected based n personality and on-screen appeal.

 

UNIQLO T-shirt (UT) Grand Prix Design Contest

The 2015 theme for UNIQLO’s annual T-Shirt (UT) Grand Prix design contest is Star Wars in anticipation of the upcoming 2015 release of Star Wars Episode VII.

Entries are accepted from 14 July to 31 August 2014 at www.uniqlo.com/jp/ut/utgp2015.  Top designs will be showcased in the UNIQLO 2015 Spring Summer collection and will be available in UNIQLO stores in 16 countries worldwide as well as UNIQLO online stores. The Grand and Second prize winners will get to visit Lucasfilm Headquarters in San Francisco, California and US$10,000 and US$500 respectively. Runner-ups will also receive US$500. The exact number of runner ups have yet to be determined by UNIQLO.

MTV ACUVUE Dare to Be

ACUVUE is challenging youths in Singapore to pursue their passions with its Dare to Be integrated campaign. The campaign unveils a series of ‘dares’ for contenders to take on challenges that get them out of their comfort zones. Up to 19 dares have been thrown up with the final mystery dare officially unlocked on 9 June.

The mother of all dares is a first ever proposition – Dare to be an MTV VJ. This is open to participants in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. One winner from each country will compete to take on the final challenge to be the presenter with VJ Alan and Hani at the MTV World Stage Malaysia in front of a live audience of 15,000 and broadcasted to over 550 million households globally on 16 August.
