You Can Book the All-New BMW 1 Series on Lazada in Singapore

BMW Asia and Performance Motors Limited launched the all-new BMW 1 Series in an exclusive partnership with eCommerce platform Lazada. BMW is the first automotive brand on LazMall in Singapore.

Customers can place a S$500 booking fee on the BMW LazMall store which secures a special interest rate of 1.18% for 1 of 11 BMW 118i M Sport. The booking fee will be refunded upon finalising the vehicle purchase. This will be available from 9 September 2019 at 8 am. After placing the booking fee, customers will be invited to the PML showroom at 303 Alexandra Road to view the car and finalise the purchase.

The all-new BMW 118i M sport is retailing at S$157,888 at press time.

Bookings for subsequent units of The 1 will have a S$118 fee that is refundable upon finalising the vehicle purchase and prevailing interest rates at the time of application. Test drive of The 1 can be arranged via Lazada from October.

The first BMW 1 Series was launched in 2004. 2.5 million units have been sold to date. The latest BMW 1 Series is the third generation of the premium compact model. The hatchback has a larger boot space and more legroom particularly in the rear compared to previous generations thanks to the new front-wheel-drive architecture.

The 1,499 cc car features a three-cylinder in-line petrol engine, BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, turbocharger, high precision injection, VALVETRONIC fully variable valve timing and Double-VANOS variable camshaft timing. Acceleration takes 8.5 seconds to get to 100km/h. The car has a top speed of 213km/hr and combined fuel consumption of 5.9l/100km.

The all-new BMW 1 series is 4,319 millimetres. That is 5 millimetres shorter than its predecessor. Its width of 1,799 millimetres is 34 millimetres wider than its predecessor. Its height has increased by 13 millimetres to 1,434 millimetres. Its wheelbase of 2,670 millimetres is 20 millimetres shorter than the predecessor.

The new BMW 1 Series has a new face with a larger BMW Kidney grille following the trend set by the larger BMW sedans.

The full-LED headlights are slanted, can be specified with adaptive functionality, giving a modern appearance. The transparent, hexagonal tubes of the daytime driving lights pull off characteristic “four-eyed” look while the “eyebrow” turn-signal indicators emphasis the width of the car. The full-LED rear lights provide an all-new interpretation of the familiar L shape.

A wide range of new light-alloy wheels including a new option of wheels with a diameter of 19 inches. The luxury line model comes with the standard 17-inch light-alloy wheels while the M Sport model comes with 18-inch light-alloy wheels.

The M Sport model comes standard with the M Sport steering wheel and the Trigon/Sensatec sports seats in black. The upholstery is enhanced with special BMW M piping and contrast blue stitching. Dakota leather is optionally available in Black, Black with blue highlights and Magma Red with grey highlights. The Luxury Line model comes standard with a sport leather steering wheel with a decorative aluminium-look insert and Dakota leather seats with perforations.

The smartphone is able to replace a conventional car key for all-new BMW 1 Series. Using Near Field Communication technology, the BMW Digital Key uses the Comfort Access feature to lock and unlock the car. Even if your phone battery is dead, holding the smartphone up to the door handle opens the car. Start the car by putting the phone in the smartphone tray or wireless charging tray. The BMW Digital Key is available for top of the range NFC enabled Samsung Galaxy smartphones running Android 8.0 and above.
