MasterChef’s Finalist, Sharone Hakman Visited Singapore

6 September 2012, Singapore – Sharone Hakman, from MasterChef US Season 1, was in town to promote the new MasterChef US Season 3 which premieres on Star World (Starhub Ch 501/555 HD) on 16 September 2012 at 8pm.

Sharone Hakman who has left his career as a financial planner to pursue his dreams to be a chef on MasterChef US Season 1, continued his career in the culinary world after his elimination in the contest. Sharone now still works as a chef and is also owner of a barbecue sauce company and a spokesman for American Heart Association.

Cooking for a social cause is something close to his heart. He feels it is important to give back to society and inspire each other whenever possible.

Sharone conducted a special culinary workshop with a group of autistic young chefs yesterday at Hosted at Professor Brawn Café, a cafe that hires persons with special needs. The aspiring chefs were taught how to prepare delicious grilled chicken sandwiches. Renowned local dessert chef, Janice Wong, also teamed up with Sharone to create a gastronomical dessert at the event.
