StarHub TV will be offering more High Definition content with four new HD channels for customers with HD Interactive or HubStation ID set-top boxes – BBC Knowledge HD (Ch 407) and Channel 8 HD (Ch 154), Suria HD (Ch 116) and Vasantham HD (Ch 156). These channels will provided at no extra charge. This brings the total HD offering on StarHub TV to 60 channels.
The three free-to-air Mediacorp channels will launch on 28 August and BBC Knowledge HD will launch on 29 August. StarHub TV customers who have subscribed to BBC Knowledge will have to sign up for the Basic HD Upsize and HD set-top boxes (at a monthly subscription of S$8.56) to enjoy the HD version of the channel.
