2013 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix: REV UP SINGAPORE!

Singapore GP today announced a new initiative, Rev Up Singapore! offering the public with free access as well as other activities.  Singapore GP hopes to rev up the experience and excitement of Formula One across the island.

Thursday Pit Lane Experience

2,500 lucky individuals will get to experience a Pit Lane walk with the view of the Formula One garages up close as well as the F1 Village in Zone 1 of the Marina Bay Street Circuit before the circuit park opens to ticketholders.  Happening on 19 September during the week of the race, these participants also get to enjoy the F1 Village’s carnival atmosphere, explore interactive game stations and be entertained by the live stage performances and roving acts as well as purchase memorabilia at the merchandise booths.

Free Preview Screenings of ‘RUSH’

1,500 lucky Singaporeans get to catch a free preview screening of the movie RUSH based on a true story about the epic rivalry between legendary Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda during the 1976 Formula One season. The screenings will take place on 18 September 2013 at Cathay Cineplexes at Ang Mo Kio, Causeway Point, Cineleisure Orchard, Downtown East and The Cathay.

Rev Up Singapore Motorsports Carnival

A motorsports carnival will be held at the ITE Fiesta on 25 and 26 August at ITE College Central. Open to the public, the festival will feature interactive Formula One themed game stations, Singapore GP simulators and a photo exhibition of thethe night race in the past five years.

 

Formula 1.101 Educational Talks

Polytechnic and University students in Singapore are invited to attend a series of educational talks by members of the Formula One fraternity, including a talk by Lotus F1 team and Pirelli.
