The second edition of MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016 returns to The Philippines on 24 June 2016. The one-night only free-entry celebration of pop music will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. It will feature LA Grown electric dance trio Far East Movement, Philippine Pop superstar father and son-tandem Gary V featuring Gab Valenciano, OneRepublic, Bebe Rexha, K-pop idol female group Apink and Filipinos James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
This is the second edition of MTV Music Evolution Manila after a successful season last year. The first edition featured a stellar line-up of international and local acts. There was Naughty by Nature, YG, Apl.de.ap, DJ Cash Money and Gloc-9 and Abra. A live audience of over 22,000 fans gathered at the historic Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park in Manila.
