21 October 2012, Singapore – When was the last time you wrote a letter or sent a post card or bought a stamp? Stamp collecting seems to be a hobby of the past. I remember when I was a little kid, I used to collect stamps from all over the world. It all started out with writing to pen pals from around the world. The more I wrote to them, the more letters or postcards I got back in return. I remembered I was always waiting in anticipation of the mail man every day in the hope of receiving mail or a post card. Great memories they were.
Earlier this month on 9 October, it was World Post Day with more than 150 countries celebrating in appreciation of the postal sector connecting families, friends and businesses.
SingPost launched a photo contest on Facebook “Posting Moments” for you to share your cherished postal moments that made your day in return for a chance to win the grand prize of a 32GB iPhone 5 if your photo gets the most votes. Capture the essence of postal service with an accompanying caption of no more than 50 words and submit it at Posting Moments Facebook app till 9 November 2012. Winners will be announced on 23 November 2012.
