Singapore GP made a statement at 6.45pm today on the haze situation here in Singapore. Based on the current PSI levels, there are no plans to amend the published racing and entertainment programme for the 2015 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 18 to 20 September 2015.

It is not possible to predict what the PSI level might be over the race weekend as the haze situation is highly changeable by the hour. Singapore GP will continue to work with the relevant government authorities to receive the best forecasts when they are available.

The organisers have put in place a number of measures for this weekend:

  • The PSI reading and health advisory will be displayed on the Singapore GP website, official Singapore GP Mobile app, the giant screens between races and broadcasts on the in-circuit radio system. The government health advisory will also be posted at all Circuit Park entrances.
  • N95 masks will be made available throughout the Circuit Park at cost price.
  • All 24 medical and first aid posts have been placed on standby to handle any possible haze-related conditions.

Our advise to you is to drink lots of water. Also read our article on how to handle eye irritations in this hazy condition.
