Disney and Formula 1 Expand Fuel the Magic for 2026 Season

Disney and Formula 1 will continue their multi year “Fuel the Magic” collaboration for the 2026 race season, introducing new content, merchandise and fan experiences across selected Grand Prix weekends worldwide.  

Formula 1R and Disney Mickey

The initiative builds on momentum from the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November 2025 and aims to deepen engagement between racing audiences and Disney’s Mickey and Friends through digital storytelling and retail activations.  

Webtoon Series Launches at Australian Grand Prix

A key pillar of the 2026 campaign is the original vertical comic Mickey X Formula 1 Racing to the Top, developed with WEBTOON. The series will debut on 6 March during the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and run throughout the season with episodes tied to race weekends.  

The story follows Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as they support a racing team in crisis, highlighting themes of teamwork and friendship within a Formula 1 setting.  

Trackside Retail and Fan Experiences

Starting with the Chinese Grand Prix from 13 to 15 March, selected Formula 1 races will feature Fuel the Magic fanzone retail pop ups. These will offer race specific merchandise alongside a core Disney and F1 collection at the F1 Hub, Grand Prix Plaza and online at F1.com.  

Some race weekends will also include Disney themed entertainment moments featuring Mickey and Friends in Formula 1 inspired looks.  

Gentle Monster and Global Product Drops

Eyewear brand Gentle Monster will release the 2026 Circuit Collection, a collaboration with Disney and Formula 1 featuring eight lightweight styles. Three designs are inspired directly by Mickey and Friends.  

The launch includes pop up experiences in Seoul and Shanghai featuring a large Mickey Mouse sculpture displayed alongside a Formula 1 car.  

Additional merchandise planned for 2026 includes:

  • An exclusive Mickey Mouse plush in Formula 1 uniform, first launching in Australia
  • New collaborations with Uniqlo
  • Expanded Disney x Formula 1 core collection
  • Apparel, accessories, collectibles and plush merchandise

These products will roll out globally across the season.  

Campaign Focus

The Fuel the Magic initiative is positioned as a fan first programme combining racing culture, entertainment and fashion to reach both existing Formula 1 followers and new audiences.  

More announcements and activations are expected throughout the 2026 Formula 1 calendar.
