Sebastian Errazuriz joins Melissa‘s list of high-profile designers in their newest limited edition collection. Based on the Chilean designer’s exquisite “12 Shoes for 12 Lovers” showcase during the 2013 Miami Art Basel, Gold Digger and The Boss will be housed at the Melissa MDREAMS Pop-Up Store from 15 October 2015 onwards.
Inspired by a dozen of his ex-girlfriends, the shoes took the internet by storm. It stunned all with its feminine silhouettes featuring unique details like honeycombs or the sculpture of Virgin Mary on its heel. Shoe lovers were clamouring for it, but, of course, to no avail. They were art pieces, stunning art pieces – not for walking. Well, until now.
He modifies the original Gold Digger into a wearable gold beauty. Still featuring a man shouldering the weight of the shoe as a heel, it makes a statement in an elegantly understated manner. And, the timing could not be more perfect. It is going to be favourite at all the parties this festive season.
Then, there’s The Boss. The 007 of the collection. With brass knuckles on the underside of the heels, it took inspiration from the powerful and the professional. This is for a woman who knows what she wants, and knows how to get it!
Wearable art. Can you imagine? I am sure I am not the only one hoping for more of those exquisite designs to come to a store near us. Till then, we can add a whole lot of personality to our #OOTDs with “The Boss” and “Gold Digger” at S$590 each.
