Crabs & Crepe Buffet At Crowne Plaza, Changi Airport Extends Till November

Much to seafood lovers’ delight everywhere, Azur at Crowne Plaza, Changi Airport extends their Crab & Crepes buffet till 29 November 2015. Running every Saturday and Sunday at S$75++/adult and S$37.50++/child, Executive Chef Kiang Siang Heng brings an east-meets-west approach to Singapore’s most-loved crustacean in beloved flavours of Singapore Chilli, Black Peppercorn and as Sambal Dry Shrimps or Curry Mayo for the crepes!

It is not a buffet without the seafood bar. On top of an overwhelming amount of Spanner Rock Crabs, Cold Alaska Crab Claws and Cold Stone Crabs, the usual suspects of Freshly Shucked Oysters and Poached Tiger Prawns will be be making an appearance. Choose between the fragrant coriander dressing or mandarin orange compote to go with these fresh selections.

You cannot have a crab buffet without a pipping hot plate of Singapore’s famous Chilli Crab. Salted Egg and Wok Fried Cereal are also available, but western flavours such as the Saffron Rice with Tomato Crab or Crab Cakes with Chestnuts in Mango-Pineapple salsa brings a refreshing new twist to the seafood.

There is also the Bamee Poo, a Thai-inspired egg vermicelli noodle dish topped with sweet, steam crabmeat and a tangy green mustard. They are freshly made upon order too.

And, of course, the other star of the show – crepes. There will be two crepe stations; Homemade Crab in Crepes or the traditional Crepe Suzette for dessert. I have already mentioned them earlier, but the Curry Mayo was definitely my favourite. Not only can I skip on getting my hands dirty, I also get to enjoy a delicious homely flavour. Those wanting a more western palette can go for the Crab Meat Goulash or Honey Pineapple Chicken and Crab.

Back to the dessert! It is Crepe Suzette the way it should be! Drenched in a delicious orange butter sauce, you can choose between meringues, raisins and Nutella as toppings. You can even give it your own twist with other offerings in the Dessert Island. There is a Chocolate Fountain, Ondeh Ondeh, chewy chocolate cookies and a self-serve ice cream station.

The Crab & Crepe Buffet will run till 29 November 2015 on Saturdays and Sundays only at S$75++/adult and S$37.50/child. Azur at Crowne Plaza, Changi Airport is located at Terminal 3, level 1.
