Italian restaurant, Dolce Vita at Mandarin Oriental goes Scandinavian from 19 to 28 April 2013.  Guest Chef Dines Eskildsen Sørensen from Denmark is in town to create a contemporary menu featuring more than 30 culinary highlights from the region.  Be entertained by a well-known Swedish live band Gus Dahlberg Quartet who is joined by a vocalist Deri Rowlands.

The menu will be in a semi-buffet style where you can try the Graved Salmon in Swedish Manner accompanied by dill, fennel and mild mustard; Pickled Herring with potatoes, red onions and sauer cream; White Asparagus with dill-oil; Chicken Salad open sandwiches topped with Jerusalem artichokes and mushrooms.   Ala carte dishes such as the Stjerneskud, a Danish classic of fried and poached fish, salmon and shrimp;  Deer Back Medallion with Mushroom Fricasse and Apples and Chicken Breast Danoise with rhubarb and cucumber salad and potatoes and gravy will also be available.

End the meal on a sweet note with a dessert buffet selection of Koldskål a chilled buttermilk soup with vanilla and rusks; Rhubarb Trifle with Macaroons; Danish Apple Cake with Caramel and White Chocolate; and miniature Danish pastries.
